Parrish is thirty to thirty-five minutes north-east of the yard, up 301 past Ellenton or across the Fort Hamer bridge from the Lakewood Ranch side, and it is changing faster than anywhere else we serve. Ten years ago this was farmland with a few crossroads settlements. Now there are master-planned communities going in on both sides of 301 and Moccasin Wallow Road, thousands of new slab-on-grade houses, new schools and new commercial, with working farmland and pasture still in between them. Both halves of that generate work, and they generate completely different work.

On the new side it is construction: builder punch-out and finish-trade containers, framing and drywall scrap, packaging and pallets, and then, as soon as owners move in, the landscaping and hardscape debris that comes from tearing out builder-grade planting and putting in patios, outdoor kitchens and pool decks. Those jobs are straightforward — wide streets, concrete drives, room to turn — and the main thing we ask about is whether the driveway is pavered and where the irrigation and low-voltage lighting run, because protection boards handle the rest.

On the old side it is farm and rural residential: barn and outbuilding clear-outs, older houses being gutted or replaced, fence and pasture work, land clearing and the tree debris that follows every storm. Live oak here comes down heavy, and Florida wants that vegetative material kept as its own clean load headed for a mulching facility rather than mixed into a demolition box — mix it and the whole load gets reclassified at the scale. Rural parcels also mean septic and well, so we need to know where the drain field and well head sit before a loaded truck goes anywhere near them.

Parrish is unincorporated Manatee County throughout, which makes the jurisdiction question simple even though the answers are not always the same as Sarasota County a few miles south — the two run separate permitting and solid waste systems, and if you have rented a container in Sarasota before, do not assume it transfers. A private driveway generally needs no approval; a street or right-of-way placement normally does; US-301 is a state route and a placement near it can involve FDOT. Requirements change out here as fast as the development does, so confirm with Manatee County first. US-301 north through Ellenton, or over the Fort Hamer bridge from the Lakewood Ranch and University Parkway side when the truck is already east. Thirty to thirty-five minutes. Construction traffic and plated or shifting lanes inside the new communities are the main variable, plus school traffic on Moccasin Wallow at the ends of the day. Permits, streets and placement in Parrish

On a private driveway in Parrish you generally do not need a municipal permit.
